Service
Handled in-house by the same team that produces your garments, so artwork, fabric and finishing stay consistent from sample to bulk.

MAKEWELL APPAREL provides custom embroidery services for clothing brands, businesses, teams, and creators who want a premium, long-lasting finish. We digitize your logo in-house, then stitch it cleanly onto polos, hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, and caps and hats.
From a single logo on the chest to multi-location designs with 3D puff and patches, our logo embroidery is built to survive years of wear and washing. Low minimums from 50 pieces make it easy to start, and our capacity scales with your orders.
Embroidery is more than decoration. It signals quality the moment someone sees or touches your product, and it delivers practical benefits:
For workwear, uniforms, streetwear, and premium merch, embroidered apparel consistently looks more expensive than print and keeps its shape far longer.
Pair embroidery with our private label services and every piece ships under your name. We combine embroidered logos with custom woven neck labels, branded hang tags, and custom packaging, so your product feels finished and retail-ready. It is the fastest way for a new label to look established, and for an existing brand to raise perceived value without changing its core styles.
Many new brands cannot commit to thousands of units. Our low MOQ embroidery starts at 50 pieces per design, which lets you:
Small runs receive the same digitizing care, thread quality, and inspection as our largest orders, so your first drop looks as polished as your fiftieth.
Quality is what separates professional embroidery from a patch that puckers after two washes. We use commercial multi-head machines, premium polyester and rayon threads, and the right stabilizer for every fabric. You can expect:
The result is embroidery that stays crisp, flat, and vibrant through repeated wear and laundering.
When your brand is ready to scale, our bulk embroidery services keep quality consistent across hundreds or thousands of pieces. Volume pricing lowers your cost per unit, multi-head machines keep lead times short, and every batch is checked against your approved sample. Combine embroidery with screen printing or DTG on the same garment for mixed-media designs.
For restaurants, salons, contractors, gyms, schools, and corporate teams, embroidered uniforms are one of the most effective ways to look professional. We produce embroidered staff shirts, polos, caps, jackets, and hoodies in your brand colors, with options for individual names or titles, and we can pack orders by employee or location for easy distribution.
We offer several embroidery techniques, each suited to different designs, fabrics, and looks:
Our digitizers handle detailed logos, small lettering, and multi-color artwork, and will recommend the technique that reproduces your design most accurately on your chosen garment.
Every embroidery project follows five clear steps:
Send your logo or artwork, ideally as a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF), along with the garment, placement, and size you want. A high-resolution PNG also works, and we can help clean up or recreate older logos.
Our specialists digitize your design, converting it into a stitch file that controls stitch type, direction, density, and color order. Good digitizing is the single biggest factor in clean, durable embroidery.
We stitch a sample on your chosen garment so you can check size, placement, thread colors, and detail before production. Adjustments are made at this stage, not after.
Once you approve the sample, we embroider your full order on commercial multi-head machines, matching the approved sample on every piece and checking quality throughout the run.
Finished garments are trimmed, inspected, folded, and packed to your specifications, then shipped to your warehouse, store, or team. Request a quote to start.
READY WHEN YOU ARE
Tell us about your product and quantity. Our team will recommend the best approach and send an itemized quote within 24 hours.
Our custom embroidery starts at 50 pieces per design for most garments and hats. Low minimums let new brands, small businesses, and teams order exactly what they need without carrying excess stock. Larger orders lower the cost per piece, and reorders of an existing design are quicker because the logo is already digitized.
Vector files such as AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF give the best results because they scale cleanly. A high-resolution PNG or JPG also works. Our team converts your artwork into a digitized stitch file, and we can help clean up or recreate a logo if you only have a low-quality version.
Digitizing converts your artwork into instructions the embroidery machine follows: stitch types, directions, density, underlay, and color sequence. Skilled digitizing produces sharp detail, smooth curves, and flat, pucker-free results. Poor digitizing is the most common reason embroidery looks cheap, which is why we handle it in-house for every design.
Cost depends on the stitch count of your design, the number of locations, the garment, and the order quantity. Small left-chest logos on polos or caps are the most affordable; large back designs, 3D puff, or many colors cost more. Send your logo and quantity and we will reply within 24 hours with a clear, itemized quote.
Each has strengths. Embroidery is more durable and looks more premium, making it ideal for logos on polos, caps, jackets, and uniforms. Screen printing handles large, colorful graphics and is usually more cost-effective for big designs on t-shirts. Many brands use both: embroidery for brand marks and printing for statement graphics.
Yes. We embroider baseball caps, snapbacks, trucker hats, dad hats, and beanies, including front, side, and back placements. 3D puff embroidery is especially popular on caps for a bold, raised logo. See our custom hats page for styles and options.
Most designs use up to 12 to 15 thread colors without issue, and we match your brand colors as closely as possible using standard thread charts. Gradients and photographic images do not translate well to thread, so our digitizers simplify complex artwork while keeping your logo recognizable.
Digitizing and a sample typically take a few business days. After you approve the sample, most embroidery orders are completed within 2 to 4 weeks, depending on quantity, garment type, and the number of embroidery locations. Repeat orders of existing designs are usually faster.
In many cases, yes. We can embroider garments you supply, as long as they are new, clean, and suitable for embroidery. Very thin, stretchy, or delicate fabrics may need special backing or may not be suitable. We are happy to review your garments before confirming the order.
Yes. Quality embroidery is one of the most durable decoration methods available. With proper digitizing, stabilizer, and thread, it holds its shape and color through repeated washing. For best results, wash inside out in cold water and avoid ironing directly over the stitching.
Our custom embroidery services are used by clothing brands adding logos to their collections, companies ordering staff uniforms and corporate gifts, sports teams and schools, restaurants and salons, event organizers, and creators launching merch. Anyone who wants a durable, professional logo on apparel or headwear benefits from embroidery, especially on items that are worn and washed often.
Yes. Embroidery can be added to garments we produce from scratch through our cut and sew service, and placed on cut panels before sewing for precise positioning. Combined with private label neck labels and hang tags, it gives your own designs a polished, retail-ready finish.
We handle digitizing, sampling, production, and inspection in-house, so quality is controlled at every step instead of being passed between vendors. You get low minimums, fast U.S.-based turnaround, accurate thread color matching, and clear, itemized pricing. You can also combine embroidery with printing and branded packaging in one order.
